KIC has joined forces with Wessington Cryogenics (U.K.) to promote, sell, and service, medium and large capacity cryogenic tanks.  KIC is the exclusive distributor for all Government and Commercial Sales in the USA and will immediately concentrate its efforts in the Government, Medical, and Semiconductor market.


Wessington Cryogenics Ltd. manufactures several capacities and styles that store thousands of liters and are able to hold most cryogens.  Based in England, WCL is capable of large scale production and specializes in custom applications.

Text Box: The Wessington Technical Staff poses for a photo with The NASA White Sands Test Facility Principals upon the successful completion of the hydrostatic testing of a large LCH4 Cryogenic Tank. This article is being manufactured under contract through the Kelvin International Corporation.

A rigorous examination requiring ASME Code and NFPA compliance was performed to ensure the vessel would meet all the technical requirements.  NASA officials and underwriters cooperated to ensure all aspects of expected performance and safety were met.

With this important milestone behind, Kelvin International and Wessington look forward to future opportunities with NASA and other US Government agencies.

The Iwatani HE 15 Cryocooler has been enhanced to provide 1.5 Watts of heat lift at 4.2 K, with an ultimate temperature of 2.7 K.  Product Enhancements Are:


             * Capacity is NOT diminished by orientation

                 * Cold Heads are field serviceable by KIC Engineers

New Location    April 3, 2009

Larger Facility

KIC has moved its manufacturing and testing operations to a larger and more modern facility just a few blocks from the Newport News City Center and around the corner from the Jefferson Lab campus.

According to Jan Sherwood, CFO…. “This move places KIC in the heart of the light manufacturing zone and close to all of our suppliers.  The new facility is essential for meeting the production goals for the LN2 generator and instrument product line”
